Sports Medicine is offered at our facility in downtown Toronto. Sports Medicine is a specialized area of medicine devoted to understanding, diagnosing and managing muscle, joint and skeletal issues as they pertain to sport and exercise. Sports Medicine Physicians/Surgeons are Medical Doctor’s who are licensed by the College of Physician and Surgeons of Ontario. They hold board certifications with the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada only after completing medical school and post-graduate residency education. Sports medicine physicians have additional specialized training in the field of Sports Medicine and/or other related sub specialties. Visits are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) with a valid health card.
What to expect from your Sports Medicine consultation?
At Rebalance Sports Medicine, our Physicians will perform a relevant history and physical examination to determine your diagnosis and management plan. If needed, they may recommend further investigations including x-rays, ultrasounds, MRI, CT scans, bone scans, or other outside medical services to ensure the best possible diagnosis and management plan is in place. Our physicians have the training and expertise to provide hyaluronic acid injections (viscosupplementation) or cortisone injections to help you recover.
