Laurie has been providing high quality physiotherapy care to clients in downtown Toronto for over a decade. Laurie graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto in 1996. She successfully achieved the highest level of manual therapy education and obtained a Fellowship of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT) in 2006. In addition to her advanced clinical reasoning and manual therapy training, Laurie has been using acupuncture in her practice for over ten years. She is an active member of the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and has had great success when using acupuncture in combination with other specialized techniques. Laurie believes in lifelong learning and has taken many courses to advance her knowledge and be able to provide evidence based techniques and strategies for her clients. Laurie has many years of experience treating musculoskeletal conditions and her experience includes helping a wide range of individuals including professional and amateur athletes, performing artists, weekend warriors, office workers and patients from all walks of life. Laurie enjoys spending one on one time with her clients and believes that it is very important to educate her clients so that they understand what they can do independently to improve their symptoms and prevent reoccurrences. She strongly believes in providing her clients with all the tools necessary so that they can achieve their goals in the fewest visits possible. Her special interests include problems of the neck and back, shoulder pathologies, muscle and joint issues related to pregnancy and post-partum, and foot pain. She enjoys yoga and playing with her young family in her spare time.
